Safe Cribs
What's the difference between safe cribs and unsafe cribs?
Here's a few factors that will help you decide whether your baby's crib is safe: - all the parts should be tightly screwed into place
- there are no loose strings or parts inside the crib
- new cribs are safer than used cribs the majority of the time
- keep an eye out for manufacturer recalls - they seem to be happening quite a bit these days
- crib dimensions also depend on crib mattress size
- crib location is extremely important - i.e. away from windows
- regularly check for loose parts
I hope the above points help you distinguish between unsafe and safe cribs.
Recently, I found a truly inspirational cervical cancer story online. This reminded me that there are a lot of important issues that surround pregnancy and parenting. Not just making sure that the nursery is safe. Well, I really liked the story, that's why I'm recommending it.
